Position Overview
The Company Nurse provides on‑site clinical care, health counseling, and occupational health services to employees in a high‑volume, 24/7 BPO environment. The role ensures prompt triage for medical concerns, coordinates external care and HMO benefits, supports DOLE/OSH compliance, and drives wellness programs to help improve attendance, productivity, and overall employee well‑being.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care & Triage Provide first aid, basic life support (BLS), and initial assessment for work‑related and non‑work‑related illnesses/injuries.
- Determine fitness to work/return‑to‑work; escalate emergencies and arrange transport when needed.
- Maintain an organized, well‑stocked clinic and ensure medical equipment is functional and calibrated.
- Case Management & Records Log all clinic visits, incidents, and treatments; ensure confidentiality and proper data protection.
- Track referrals, diagnostic results, and clearances; coordinate medical certificates and RTW documents with HR/Operations.
- Monitor communicable disease cases and support contact tracing per company protocol.
- Health Program Administration Coordinate pre‑employment and annual physical exams (APE), immunizations, and health screening events.
- Lead wellness campaigns (e.g., mental health first aid, ergonomics, lifestyle disease prevention, stress management).
- Conduct health education during new hire orientation and team huddles.
- HMO / Benefits Coordination Assist employees with HMO availment, LOA processing, and clinic/hospital referrals.
- Liaise with HMO partners and providers; track utilization and common case trends for reporting.
- Occupational Safety & Compliance Support OSH programs (with the Safety Officer), incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure clinic and practices comply with DOLE/OSH standards and company policies.
- Participate in emergency response drills (fire/earthquake/medical) and maintain first‑aid kits across floors.
- Stakeholder Partnership & Reporting Partner with HR, Facilities, and Operations on attendance health cases (e.g., patterns of sick leave, fatigue).
- Prepare weekly/monthly health dashboards: clinic footfall, top cases, HMO usage, incident rates, and program outcomes.
- Recommend data‑driven health initiatives to reduce avoidable ER visits and improve productivity.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active PRC license.
- BLS/Basic Life Support certification required; ACLS and Occupational Health training an advantage.
- 1–2+ years clinical, ER, occupational health, or BPO/company clinic experience preferred.
- Knowledge of OSH standards, first aid, incident reporting, and infection control.
- Proficient in MS Office/Google Workspace and electronic health logs.
- Strong communication, empathy, and confidentiality; able to make sound clinical judgments in fast‑paced settings.
- Willing to work shifting schedules, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
