The vibe and feel of a Dinagyang festival are unlike any other. From the vibrant colors to the sights and sounds of merrymaking, Iloilo does pull out all the stops to commemorate this religious and cultural festival.
With every year outdoing the last, Dinagyang 2022, aptly christened Padayon Iloilo, Upod kay Señor Santo Niño, deserves special recognition for bringing a bigger celebration to a wider audience. Padayon means to move forward, to go on – a relevant cue to rise and not give up hope despite loss.
Notable activities include virtual concelebrated masses and the Sto Niño motorcade, virtual school-based Dinagyang Digital Tribes competition, Miss Iloilo, Opening Salvo, Dinagyang Tiktok competition, Dinagyang Job Fairs, and the Timpalada Dinagyang Food Expo. All events were under the watchful eye of the Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc and were subject to maximum health and safety protocols.
NEARSOL Iloilo joined Dinagyang 2022 via a three-day career booth at the Festive Mall Garden Atrium. Our NEARSOL Iloilo organizing committee kept the Dinagyang vibe alive with a beautifully bedecked booth. Many applicants received personal sanitizing kits, as well as NEARSOL water canteens.
